Three Local Legislators Preview the 2019 General Session [VIDEOS]

The 65th session of the Wyoming Legislature convenes at noon Tuesday from the Jonah Business Center in Cheyenne for the fourth year.

Laramie Live had the opportunity to visit with three local legislators recently to get their perspective on the 2019 general session. We asked about issues that are being brought up on the committees they serve on, as well as the state of the economy in Wyoming, education funding, taxes, and more.

Republican Senator Glenn Moniz is from Senate Dist. No. 10. He serves on the Agriculture, State and Public Lands & Water Resources committee, as well as on the Travel, Recreation, Wildlife, and Cultural Resources committee.

Democratic Representative Charles Pelkey is from House Dist. No. 45. He is the Minority Whip in the State House and serves on the Judiciary Committee.

Republican Representative Dan Furphy is from House Dist. No. 14. Furphy has moved to Minerals, Business, and Economic Development committee, and also serves on the Corporations, Elections, and Political Subdivisions Committee.
