A free concert by Wyoming musicians, The Patti Fiasco, in the University of Wyoming Union Ballroom will get the spring semester going for returning students. The Student Activities Council event will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 11 at 8 p.m.

The band has been touring, writing, recording and playing together for three years. This past summer they opened for nationally touring acts such as Cracker, Dale Watson and Lucas Nelson in addition to releasing their first full-length studio album.

The Patti Fiasco seems destined for greatness. On the one hand, they have all the aspects a music executive would look for in a marketable act. On the other hand, they have that sort of organic charm and grassroots style that proves it’s about more than just money and popularity. If you haven’t heard The Patti Fiasco yet, you surely will hear them soon. Stay tuned.

Sounds like a great way to begin the spring concert season. With so many great musicians coming to Laramie in the near future, The Patti Fiasco will certainly set the bar high as far as live performances go.  Check out the video of one of their live performances from just last month below and be sure to be there for the free concert on Wednesday.
