The deputy allegedly found two large rocks and white powder in plastic baggies inside of a fast-food cup, along with a folding mirror with white powder residue on it.
The affidavit says Xayvong told the deputy she and Grant left Ogden Aug. 5 and drove through the night to Aurora, Colo., where the pair bought marijuana from different dispensaries with the intention of taking it back to Utah.
According to the trooper's affidavit, one of the passengers has an "extensive history" involving narcotics transportation, money laundering and "armed and violent narcotics trafficking."
A previous mental evaluation ordered by Albany County Circuit Court determined Murray is fit to proceed through the court system, but a second exam will be conducted to evaluate Murray’s mental state at the time of the incident.
