Cheyenne Ranked Best City For Retired Veterans

Cheyenne is the state capitol, home to F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming Air and Army National Guard facilities and the VA hospital. Cheyenne has done good things for its citizens and according to a new report, Cheyenne has been ranked as the best city with a population under 175,000 for military retirees to live.

Anti-Abortion Protesters Cause Problems At Boy Scout Antler Auction

Jackson Hole, WY has received a lot of criticism for being home to the state's only abortion clinic. On May 20th-23rd, a 3 day anti-abortion protest took place near the town square. On one of the days the protest occurred during a Boy Scout antler auction. The end result left two protesters under arrest for violating a restraining order filed by the city.

Concord Coalition Names New Rocky Mountain Regional Director

The economy is in rough shape and to address the matter a number of nonpartisan groups are advocating on behalf of cutting the federal deficit. The Concord Coalition is one of those nonpartisan groups and they recently appointed Paul Hansen as the new Rocky Mountain regional director.

Wyoming Receives $971 Million in Shared Revenues

Wyoming is becoming quite the popular state when it comes to oil, gas and mineral production. This past fiscal year the Interior Department collected $11.16 billion from energy production on public lands and offshore areas. That total is almost $2 billion more than last years total. In shared revenues, out of the total $11.16 billion Wyoming received $971 million.

IBM To Supply Atmospheric Research Super Computer In Cheyenne

The $100 million supercomputer currently being built in Cheyenne will hopefully become operational in the summer of 2012. Construction of the supercomputer began just over a year ago and is considered as one of the world's most powerful climate research supercomputers. The National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, CO announced that IBM has won a bid to supply the super computer.
