$1.3 Million of Marijuana Seized by Wyoming Highway Patrol
A traffic stop on Interstate 80 yielded $1.3 million worth of marijuana according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol. Sgt. Stephen Townsend said just over 231 pounds of high grade marijuana was discovered in a semi-truck about 20 miles east of Elk Mountain during the Level 3 Commercial Vehicle Inspection.

Wyoming Senate file 29 signed by the Governor Thursday broadens the definition of the synthetic substance known as Spice, but not enough to include the compound found in the batch confiscated in Casper last week. Casper Police Chief, Chris Walsh, says lab results indicate the marijuana-like compound that made at least three people critically ill, remains outside of Wyoming’s drug laws, but not Federal law.
