Marqueston Huff To Play In Senior Bowl

It was announced by the Reese's Senior Bowl on Monday, that Wyoming senior free safety Marqueston Huff has accepted an invitation to play in the 2014 Senior Bowl. The game will be played on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at 2 p.m., Mountain Time, in Mobile, Ala. The game will be televised by the NFL Network.

Craig Bohl Introduced as New Wyoming Cowboys Head Coach

At a packed house in the Wildcatter Suites Sunday evening, University of Wyoming Athletic Director Tom Burman announced the hiring of Craig Bohl as the 32nd head football coach at UW. Bohl receives a 5-year deal, through 2018, and is guaranteed $750,000 in his first year. The contract will escalate each year with incentives.

Smith Named MWC Offensive Player Of The Week

Wyoming junior quarterback Brett Smith was named the Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after setting a new Mountain West and University of Wyoming single-game record for total offense, with 640 yards versus Hawai’i. It is Smith’s second such honor this year and the seventh of his career. He shares this week’s honor with Fresno State senior quarterback Derek Carr, who set a Mountain West record for passing yards, with 527 versus New Mexico.

Cowboys Top Hawaii 59-56 in OT on Record Day

Brett Smith accounted for 640 yards of total offense, 8 touchdowns and set numerous records, but it was a Stuart Williams 36-yard field goal in overtime that gave the Wyoming Cowboys a 59-56 victory over the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors Saturday at War Memorial Stadium. The two teams combined for 1417 total yards and 115 points in an offensive shootout.
