Cowgirls Rally for Dramatic 60-58 Win Over CSU

Junior Chelan Landry hit the game-winning shot on a drive to the basket with 19 seconds left, and the Wyoming Cowgirls survived and advanced with a 60-58 victory over Colorado State in the quarterfinals of the 2013 Reese's Mountain West Women's Basketball Championships in Las Vegas Thursday night. The Cowgirls rallied from a 14-point deficit in the second half with a 20-3 run and made the critical plays in the final minute to move on to the semifinals against Fresno State Friday afternoon.

Cowboys Crumble in Border War Loss to Rams, 78-56

Colton Iverson scored 29 points to lead three Colorado State players in double figures, as the Rams completed a regular season sweep of the Wyoming Cowboys with a 78-56 win Wednesday night in Laramie. CSU utilized a 15-3 run in the first half to take control of the game and rolled to their 23rd win of the season.

Cowgirls Earn Sweet Sweep in Border War, 65-51

Behind Chaundra Sewell’s 11th double-double of the season, the Wyoming Cowgirls won their regular season finale 65-51 over the Colorado State Rams Wednesday night in Fort Collins. Sewell scored 22 points and grabbed a career-high 17 rebounds to lead the way. UW jumped out to an early 21-4 lead and with the victory tied the mark for the best conference record in program history.

Rams Too Much For Cowboys in 65-46 Loss

Despite a career-high 26 points from senior guard Derrious Gilmore, the Wyoming Cowboys couldn't overcome another tough shooting night. They lost at rival Colorado State, 65-46, Saturday night in Mountain West Conference action at Moby Arena. Wyoming shot 29 percent from the field and dropped their fourth straight game, as they reached the halfway point of conference play.

Wyoming Cowboys Win 4th Straight Border War

Brett Smith threw for 235 yards and 4 touchdowns, ran for another, and the Wyoming Cowboys won the 104th edition of the Border War over rival Colorado State 45-31 Saturday at War Memorial Stadium. The victory marked the fourth consecutive win in the series for the Pokes for the first time since 1970-1973.
