The Albany County School District One Board of Education is conducting a search for the permanent Superintendent of Schools, and they are asking for public input in the process.

The board is asking the public to fill out a survey on the qualities people find as most important in a superintendent. This input will be used to assist the school board in selecting the best candidate for the upcoming 2015-2016 school year.

The anonymous survey is available for the public to rate characteristics of a new superintendent. The survey consists of 25 questions.

The search for a new superintendent began after the former superintendent, Dr. Brian Recht, stepped down from his position on February 11, 2015.

Dr. Rod Kessler has been selected for the position of Interim Superintendent. He will fill the position through June 30, 2015.
