CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — The Wyoming Department of Health is offering incentives for any nursing home operator that wants to step in and take over the Saratoga nursing home.

Since Deseret Health Group announced earlier this month that it would close its nursing homes in Rock Springs and Saratoga, the state of Wyoming has stepped in to assist in making sure the nursing homes remain open.

One company is set to take over operations in Rock Springs, but the state hasn't found a new operator for the Saratoga facility. Health Management Services in Montana has shown interest.

Wyoming Health Department spokeswoman Kim Deti says federal officials have assured they would fast-track a new operator's application. In addition, the state health department is offering a temporary enhanced reimbursement rate for the Saratoga operation.
