Background checks may now be required  for employees working for State Superintendent of Public Education Cindy Hill. Hill is seeking to conduct background checks for every employee in her department through the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation.

Around 30 employees are being considered for background checks. The 30 or so employees work with children and Hill wants to make sure each employee passes background checks. Hill also proposed drug testing for employees but Cindy Hills lawyer, John Masters, says there are no plans to require drug testing. A request from Hill has been sent to the Wyoming Attorney General's Office for review.
