Six people were arrested Wednesday on charges including theft and conspiracy to commit theft in Laramie.

Misdemeanor citations obtained from Albany County Circuit Court show the six, some from Georgia and some from New York state, were arrested at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the 3000 block of East Grand Avenue.

Lieutenant Gwen Smith of the Laramie Police Department says the arrests resulted from a joint effort with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. She declined further comment, deferring to the FBI. The bureau did not return requests for comment Friday.

The six people all face misdemeanor charges.

  • Tai Monae Fortune, 20, of Atlanta, Ga. is charged with one count of theft and one count of conspiracy to commit theft.
  • Zakorah Anene Kinu Prescott, 21, of Brooklyn, N.Y. is charged with one count of conspiracy to commit theft.
  • Jose Modesto Adon Cano, 22, of Ozone Park, N.Y. is charged with one count of conspiracy to commit theft.
  • Angel Junior Cano, 23, of Jamaica, N.Y., is charged with one count of conspiracy to commit theft.
  • Khadijah Mary Nicola Boone, 22, of Brooklyn, N.Y. is charged with one count of conspiracy to commit theft.
  • Johnathan Marino Guerrero-Santana, 25, of Bronx, N.Y., is charged with conspiracy to commit theft.

All the charges evidently stem from an incident in which Fortune allegedly stole $150. The citations do not go into further detail.
