The Laramie Rangers offense came in around in game two, as they earned a split of their Monday doubleheader against Blue Chip Navy at Cowboy Field.

Laramie (9-13) managed just three hits in the opener and lost 6-2. They came back in the nightcap for an 11-3 win. The Rangers had nine hits, but four of them were extra-base hits. They also took advantage of four walks and four errors by Blue Chip.

Colorado Blue Chip Navy starter Adrian Pullaro kept Laramie's offense in check until a pair of bunt singles in the third. Other than a seventh inning double by Marshall Stuart, the Rangers offense couldn't get on track. Pullaro went the distance for the win and threw only 86 pitches. He surrendered two unearned runs with only three walks and three strikeouts. Pullaro helped himself with three hits.

Blue Chip took an early 1-0 lead, but Laramie tied it at 1-1 in the third. BC Navy answered right back with two runs in the fourth. They added an insurance run in the fifth and two more in the seventh.

Albert Steiner took the loss for the Rangers. He went five innings and gave up eight hits. Steiner allowed four runs, only three earned with a walk and three strikeouts.

In game two, Stuart provided an offensive spark, as he went 2-for-4 with a triple, a double and three RBI in the 11-3 win.

Laramie got rolling early with a five-run second inning propelled them to the victory. Stuart's two-run triple capped that frame. The Rangers other big inning was a four-run fifth. Stuart and Wes Yerty each had RBI doubles.

Nate Hill went four-and-a-third innings for the victory on the mound. He gave up only one hit with a walk and seven strikeouts.

Laramie returns to the diamond this weekend by hosting their annual Dooley Oil Classic wood bat tournament July 26-28 at Cowboy Field. The Rangers will play four games over three days.
