A no-hitter from Ryan Spiker led the Laramie Rangers to 15-0 rout of the Rawlins Generals at the Wyoming American Legion Baseball South District Tournament in Jackson. With the win the Rangers will face the Cheyenne Hawks on Thursday at 4 PM as they attempt to advance to the State Tournament by finishing in the top two this weekend.

In his second no-hitter of the season, Spiker struck out 5 and walked 1. He threw just 62 pitches in the game, which was shortened to six innings by the mercy rule.

Laramie found their offense in the bottom of the third inning as a 2-run double from Kevin Dooley sparked seven runs in the frame. That was followed by a six-run fourth inning. Chance Jones went 3-for-4 with 4 RBI and 2 runs scored while Dooley finished 2-for-4 with a double, 3 RBI and 2 runs. As a team the Rangers scored their 15 runs on 13 hits and took advantage of 6 errors from Rawlins.

The Rangers are now 27-17 on the season and are 2-0 against the Hawks. Coverage will begin on KOWB at 3:45 PM on Thursday.
