Ongoing Construction-Ask the City

Question:

Why is it that when I drive around town, I see all sorts of construction, but no workers there to repair the streets that have been torn up? When will these projects finally get finished?

Answer:

Laramie has a relatively short construction season, and as that construction season draws to a close, many contractors are pulled between several jobs trying to finish them all before cold weather arrives. Another common delay often occurs when a contractor must wait on construction materials being delivered to a project by suppliers. If these materials delay the project due to construction sequencing, the contractor often chooses to work elsewhere to remain productive. The contractors are obligated to complete jobs within a certain amount of time and we strive to ensure that this happens."
