Former University of Wyoming basketball player and disabled sailor Nichole Rider joined Kari Eakins and Steve Kiggins on Sportsline Live Wednesday to talk about her life as a sailor in Laramie, Wyo. Rider broke her neck in a car accident and has defied many odds by regaining the ability to walk after initially being given only a 50 percent chance of survival and a 5 percent of having use of her body below the shoulders.

Last year while in Miami, a friend asked Rider to go sailing with her and a new passion was found. Since then she has been named an Argo Ambassador of the Week and a US Sailing Sailor of the Week. Listen below to hear Rider discuss how she fell into the world of sailing, how she trains and which regattas she'll be participating in this year.
