New Grant Program Manager for Wyoming Business Council

Dave Simonsen is the new Business Ready Community/Community Facilities Grant and Loan Program manager for the Wyoming Business Council. Through these programs Simonsen will be helping provide financing for publicly owned infrastructure that serves the needs of businesses and promotes economic development within Wyoming communities and assisting communities in preserving former school and surplus government facilities that have existing or future community uses.

Simonsen spent over 12 years in Norfolk, Neb. where he worked in economic development at both community and regional levels for both Nebraska and Iowa. Before that he was a grant writer for a community college in Iowa. Simonsen completed Economic Development Institute coursework through the University of Oklahoma and has a master’s degree in organizational management with an emphasis in entrepreneurial and economic development.
