According to Rocky Mountain Power's website, 2,670 Laramie customers are still without power. The company reports crews are on site and completing repairs.

The company estimates power will be fully restored at 10 a.m.

A power pole near the intersection of Seventh Street and Beaufort reportedly caught fire around 10 p.m. Monday, knocking out power to thousands of customers in the Laramie area.

Rocky Mountain Power said about 4,747 customers lost power. Firefighters responded within just a few minutes and extinguished the flames at roughly 10:15 p.m.

According to the company, a crew was on site as of 10:30 p.m. and power was set to be restored by 12:30 a.m.

Preliminary reports indicate the power pole may have been struck by lightning, sparking the fire. No injuries were initially reported Monday evening. We will update this story as more information is made available.
