In coordination with Martin Luther King Jr. Day and the University of Wyoming's Days of Dialogue, students at the University of Wyoming as well as community members of Laramie will be participating in National Service Day.

In the spirit of MLK Jr. Day and National Service Day, individuals interested in helping their community can help in anyway or any place they see the need, but they can also join in on the organized events through the University of Wyoming.

The UW service event will begin this morning at the Laramie Plains Civic Center when there will be a welcoming for volunteers and an overview of the service opportunities offered throughout the day.  Following the welcoming, volunteers will separate into smaller service groups and head to their chosen service site.

Sites include: The Eppson Center, Big Brothers Big Sisters, The Soup Kitchen, the Clothing Cottage, UW Recycling, as wel as service sites in the Laramie Plains Civic Center.

Food and supplies will be provided and servie activities will go until approximately 2:00 p.m.
