University of Wyoming senior forward Larry Nance, Jr. has been medically cleared to participate in full practices for the upcoming season.

Men’s basketball coach Larry Shyatt made the announcement Tuesday morning.

Nance even posted on his Twitter account, "Cleared."

Last week, Nance was chosen as the Mountain West Preseason Player of the Year.

He suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during a game against Fresno State on February 18 and underwent surgery in early March.

In a released statement, Shyatt said the coaching staff will continue to be conservative with their approach to Nance’s rehabilitation.

Nance had been participating in most of UW's practices over the past two weeks during the "non-contact" portions.

Even after his injury, Nance was a First Team All-Mountain West selection and voted to the league's all-defensive team last season. He averaged 15.4 points and 8.6 rebounds per game last season. He added 1.4 steals and 2.1 blocked shots per game.

The Wyoming Cowboys will start their 2014-15 season November 16 at home against Northern Colorado.
