Citizens will join together Saturday to spruce up Laramie during the 2016 Laramie Spring Cleanup Day.

In addition to volunteer efforts to pick up trash across the city, the Laramie Landfill will waive basic fees for all Albany County residents Saturday.

To volunteer, or reserve a work area for your group, call 307-745-7339.

The Laramie Chamber Business Alliance is steering volunteers who have not yet reserved an area toward Highway 287 near the Albany County Fairgrounds and Curtis Street from Pierce Street to Third Street.

The City of Laramie is advising volunteers to bring work gloves and wear appropriate clothing.

Before Saturday, volunteers can pick up safety vests and trash bags at the City Hall Annex, located at 405 Grand Avenue. On Saturday, the safety vests and trash bags will be available from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at City Hall itself, at 406 E. Ivinson Ave.

Lunch will be provided to volunteers on the lawn behind Laramie Fire Station No. 1 on Fourth Street from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
