The Laramie community came out to honor a local veteran at the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation's banquet Saturday, June 4 in the Laramie Ice and Event Center.

During his time in the U.S. Marine Corps, Patrick Snow was deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan and Africa. He saw combat and was wounded multiple times.

Jeff Wente, local organizer of the veterans project for the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, presented Snow with a plaque from the foundation, a personal letter from Wyoming Governor Matt Mead thanking Snow for his service and a service rifle purchased exclusively with donations from the people of Laramie.
