Five days ago in Gillette, the Laramie Plainsmen stood atop the podium at the Wyoming High School State Tennis Championships.

For Laramie High School, it was the second straight year they brought home a first place trophy from state tennis, after the girls won it last year. This was the third title in the last five years for the Plainsmen.

As head coach Elizabeth Clower told KOWB's David Settle, "Every point counted," all five positions in the line-up contributed to the team championship.

The Laramie boys won titles at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, plus added a runner-up at No. 3 doubles and a fourth at No. 1 singles.

KOWB's David Settle had a chance to visit with the three doubles teams, Ky Fike and Ben Graeff at No. 1, Miles Stump and Noah Dreiling at No. 2 and Jason Scott and Eric Van Wig at No. 3. They all talked about either winning a state title at their position or coming close, the team championship, their partnership and more.
