A man who prosecutors say caused more than $4,000 in damage to property in Laramie is now in custody. Francisco Flores is charged with felony property destruction after he was caught tagging various vehicles and buildings.

Laramie Police officials say once they confronted Flores, he threw a spray paint can at a squad car and fled the scene. He was later apprehended and taken into custody. According to court documents, Flores allegedly spray painted three vehicles and eight buildings in the 2nd Street area. One of the cars was defaced with “crip gang” sign in red paint.

It is estimated that it will cost $4,200 to repair the damage done to the buildings and cars. Flores’ bond is set at $10,000, and he has a scheduled March 4 court date.
