The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for Southeastern Wyoming.

The warning went into effect at 8 a.m. this morning and will continue until 5 a.m. Tuesday morning.

According to the warning, the strongest winds are expected to occur in two separate waves, one around noon today and the other later tonight.

The winds are moving west to southwest at speeds of 35 to 40 mph, with gusts reaching up to 60 mph.

According to the National Weather Service, sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts of 58 mph or more can lead to property damage.
