The Laramie Weekend Movie Forecast is written by Robert Roten, creator of the Laramie Movie Scope Website.

This weekend the movie weather is warming slightly.

You're Next, a suspense thriller with ordinary folks fighting for their lives, opened this week to good reviews, which is unusual for this genre.

You're Next joins the Civil Rights Drama, Lee Daniels' The Butler, along wit the popular heist movie Now You See Me as some good films to see this weekend.

Another one is the award-wining Palestinian-Israeli documentary 5 Broken Cameras.  It shows for free, one-night-only, at the Albany County Library, Sunday night at 7:00 pm.

But if you're looking for the acclaimed comedy The World's End, you are out of luck.  The closest place to see that is Ft. Collins Colorado.  If you're looking for Blue Jasmine, that isn't in Laramie, either.

The University of Wyoming's Free Movies start tonight, but unfortunately they're showing the same old thing, Now You See Me, that's been here twice before and is still playing downtown.

More diverse movie programming on campus which avoids duplicating what is currently playing elsewhere in town would be a refreshing change.
