A Laramie man appeared in court for his preliminary hearing on Monday. According to court documents, on January 25, Nathaniel Hall allegedly set fire to the front door and garage of a house at 1907 East Custer Street while the occupants were asleep.

A neighbor saw Hall leave the residence after the fire ignited. Commander Mitchell Cushman of the Laramie Police Department says that police work led them to Hall’s residence once firefighters determined that an accelerant was used to start the fire.

The affidavit states that when police arrived at Hall’s residence, his clothes had a gasoline odor and a 1-gallon plastic gas can was located in the kitchen garbage. Nathaniel Hall was arrested on suspicion of first-degree arson.
