Play in the District Tournament for the Laramie 9-10 and 11-12 Little League All-Stars begins today and tomorrow in Wheatland.

Both teams must finish either first or second in District 2 to make the state tournament next week in Cody.

The 11-12 year olds didn't make the state tournament last year. This year they are one of five teams in a double elimination bracket. They play Gillette today, with the winner facing Torrington tomorrow. Sheridan and Platte County (Wheatland) are the other two teams in the bracket.

Laramie's 11-12 All-Stars are coached by Micah Morris.

The 9-10 year old All-Stars are the defending state champs. They will play two pool play games on Tuesday and Wednesday before single elimination bracket play begins on Thursday.

Laramie is in Pool A with Torrington and Gillette American. They will play Torrington tomorrow at noon, and then will face the Gillette American squad at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Sheridan, Gillette National and Platte County comprise pool B.

The top two teams in each pool advance to the bracket play.

For a second consecutive year, the Laramie 9-10 All-Stars are coached by Jerry Dodd.
