It's not all red or blue come November -- a Laramie man representing the Libertarian Party is also pursuing Wyoming's seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Lawrence Struempf says there are plenty of issues that go into a platform. While creating jobs, funding state agencies and getting people the healthcare they need are all important issues, Struempf says he's focused on something bigger.

"We have to break this two-party system," Struempf says. "We have to teach people that it's more important to vote for what's right and wrong -- what they believe in -- rather than sticking to the party line."

"This two-party system is crazy," Struempf adds. "That's my main objective; to get in there so I can try to bring the two parties together."

Struempf, a 46-year-old computer science professor at Laramie County Community College, says his education and experience make him the best person for the job.
