It’s one of Laramie’s annual spring traditions. The Laramie Rangers Potato Supper fundraiser is Wednesday at Laramie High School.

This event will go from 5:00-to-7:30 p.m. in the Commons Area at LHS. It features the spotlighted baked potato with trimmings and fixings you want, plus dessert and beverage for only $5. Everyone in the community is invited.

The evening also features a silent auction filled with a number of items to bid on. There will be various gift cards and certificates, gift baskets, some specialty items and more. You do not have to be present to win, but you will need to leave a contact number in case you bid on and win an item, so the legion program can contact you.

Rangers’ manager Brandon Ruckman joined host David Settle during the “Laramie Live on KOWB” radio morning show to discuss the Potato Supper and how important it is to their fundraising efforts each year. He also talked about Laramie’s upcoming season and preparations for it.

The Rangers are scheduled to open the 2018 season in Cheyenne against both Post 6 and the Casper Oilers in round robin action Saturday and Sunday. That may change depending on the weather. The home opener at Cowboy Field is set for May 5 versus Riverton.
