Laramie Jubilee Days PRCA Rodeo action is underway at the Albany County Fairgrounds.

The first of the three performances is Friday night, with another Saturday night. The final performance is Sunday afternoon. There are no finals.

Laramie Jubilee Days Rodeo Chair Myron Hales was asked how the entries look and if we'll see some big names this weekend.

"We are. Here again, Jubilee Days has always been a who's who of NFR cowboys, Mountain States circuit cowboys; just the circuit system across the way; and yes we've got, once again, it's going to be a who's who of the champions."

Things got going at 7 a.m. this morning with the slack for the timed events. Slack is free to attend.

Contestants will be competing in bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding, steer wrestling, steer roping, tie-down roping, team roping and barrel racing.

The slack for the barrel racing will follow Saturday night's performance.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for children 5-12 and children 4 and under are free.
