The Laramie Code Red Alert, which was in effect following an armed bank robbery yesterday, has been lifted though the suspect remains at large. Code RED is the City of Laramie’s emergency alert system.

The official announcement of the incident was made at approximately 10:00 a.m. Thursday by Laramie Police Commander Mitch Cushman. Though the suspect is still at large, Cushman stated that the Laramie Police Department believes there is no imminent threat to the people of Laramie.

The suspect, reportedly armed with a firearm, robbed First National Bank at 2020 Grand Avenue in Laramie around 5 p.m. Wednesday. He is described as being 35-40 years old, and is approximately 6 feet tall. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a black cowboy-style hat, a black waist length Carhartt-style jacket, dark pants and gloves. He was also described as having a full face beard.

If you or anyone you know has more information on the robbery or the whereabouts of the robber, call 721-2526.
