The Lake Hattie Ice Fishing Derby is set to take place January 3 and 4, 2015. The 23rd Laramie Plains Lions Club Ice Fishing Derby will take place from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.

Awards will be provided for the first to fifth largest fish to come out of the ice during derby hours, and even an award for the smallest fish will be provided. Prizes ranges from $1,500 for the largest fish in the adult category to $25 for the smallest fish.

Youth prizes for anglers under the age of 14 will be provided for the first to fourth largest fish and the smallest fish. The largest fish wins a prize of $150 for youth with the smallest fish prize at $25.  In addition to cash awards, trophies will be provided for the first and second largest fish in this category.

The entry fee is $30 for adults and $5 for youth anglers.  Tickets are available at the West Laramie Fly Store at 1657 Snowy Range Road.
