The Laramie Police Department is investigating several residential burglaries that occurred between December 21, 2014 and January 3, 2015. The burglarized area is bordered by 8th and 9th streets, and Gibbon to Canby.

Sometime during those dates, several residences were entered by unknown suspects who removed numerous items. Some of the items taken were cash, silver, and a large amount of jewelry. The stolen jewelry includes a distinctive gold and diamond necklace and a gold bracelet with diamonds and rubies.

Lieutenant Gwen Smith with the Laramie Police Department says all of these crimes occurred during a time when many people were away from their homes.

"If people are planning on being gone, it's always a good idea to have someone checking on the residence on a regular basis, and stopping their mail and newspaper delivery if they're able to do that," says Smith.

If you have information about these crimes, you could earn a cash reward of up to $1,000.00 by calling CRIMESTOPPERS at 742-CARE (2273).
