Incumbent Congresswoman Cynthia Lummis defeated multiple challengers in her race for Wyoming’s seat in the U.S. House of Representatives on Tuesday night. Among others, Lummis defeated Democratic challenger Chris Henrichsen of Casper and Libertarian challenger Richard P. Brubaker.

Lummis says she was humbled by the overwhelming support she received at the polls.

I’m pleased that (the voters) feel we’re representing them in a manner such that they chose to reelect me,” Lummis said Tuesday night. “I also want to congratulate my opponents – all of them were nice family people, and it was just a very productive and great race.”

Chris Henrichsen says, despite his defeat, he’s proud of what he accomplished during his race against the incumbent Lummis.

Cynthia Lummis spent probably more money on TV ads a day than I did the entire campaign, so, for us to achieve what we did, given those odds, I’m proud of what we achieved.”

Lummis took over as Wyoming’s state representative in 2009. She won with 68 percent of the vote.
