Update: Interstate 80 Now Open

Update: Interstate 80 has now reopened, although snowfall and slick conditions are reported.

As of 5:30 a.m. on Friday, Interstate 80 was closed in both directions between Cheyenne and Laramie.

The I-80 eastbound lane was also closed from Rawlins to Laramie as a spring snowstorm domp[ed heavy, wet snow on southeast Wyoming. While interstate 25 in southeast Wyoming was experiencing snowfall and wet conditions, it was open at last report.

The National Weather Service Office in Cheyenne is forecasting snow to continue across much of the area into mid-day or early afternoon on Friday.
