The popular Hunting Film Tour is coming to Laramie on Wednesday, September 17. The event, hosted by the nonprofit group Back Country Hunters and Anglers, will kick off at the Gryphon Theatre at 710 East Garfield with the doors opening at 6 p.m. and the show starting at 7 p.m.

The Hunting Film Tour shows several films in which hunters have captured their experiences in the wild.

“I’ve seen the movies. They are really impressive, and it’s for a good cause,” says Back Country Hunters and Anglers member Emmett Nelson. “I think, hopefully, everyone will come and have a good time.”

In addition to showing adventures from across the county, the event will also show a film from a local film making group. According to Nelson, a film made by Into the Wind Outdoors from the Laramie area will be shown.

Nelson says the event will last a couple of hours and will feature the films along with two dollar beers and two raffles. Items to be raffled include a Seek Outside LBO tent and titanium stove, a clothing package from First Lite, Kenetrek Mountain Extreme 400 Boots, Vortex Diamondback binoculars, Mystery Ranch Backpack plus much more from local sponsors. Tickets for this raffle will be $2 each.

In addition, a separate raffle will be held for a Kimber .380 Micro-Carry Pistol. Raffle tickets for the pistol are priced at $10 each or three for $25. According to Nelson, those who purchase three tickets will also get a free membership to Back County Hunters and Anglers.

Tickets for the event are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Tickets can be purchased in advance by visiting the West Laramie Fly Store or by going to https://www.ticketriver.com/event/12171.
