I've been asking for recipes on how to cook a prime rib roast, and there's several that you have been so kind to give me.  While I'm still looking at them all, one of our listeners, Debbie Smith gave me a prime rib recipe from food.com, that also included a recipe for homemade horseradish sauce, because after all, if you're going to have the prime rib, you've gotta have the horseradish sauce!

So with that in mind, I wanted to pass on this easy recipe on how to make your own horseradish sauce, that's simple, and will compliment any prime rib recipe you decide to use for your Christmas dinner!

Horseradish Sauce

  • 1 teaspoon hot horseradish
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon red wine vinegar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch sugar
  • Tabasco sauce (optional)  Simply grind up the horseradish in a blender or food processer, then add all the other ingredients, whisk away in your processor/blender, and Valla, you've got a creamy, tasty sauce that'll be sure to please the crowds at the Christmas table, and those who are lucky enough to have leftovers the next day!  Thank you Debbie!
