Basketball fans all over the world are mourning the loss of Kenny Sailors, the proud Wyoming native credited with inventing the jump shot, who passed away on Saturday at the age of 95.

Although Sailors is a member of the University of Wyoming Atheltics Hall of Fame and the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame, for some reason he has yet to be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Recently, a group of basketball fans and historians have launched a campaign promoting Sailor's induction. Earlier this year, filmmakers posted a YouTube video starring legendary coaches Bobby Knight and Jud Heathcote, who are among many lobbying the hall to enshrine the Wyoming legend.

The movement has since spread to social media, with the launch of the Facebook page "Get Kenny Sailors into the Basketball Hall of Fame". Fans and supporters are also encouraged to send tweets using the hashtag #SailorsNaismith2016.
