CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — After 10 months of waiting, a man facing murder and attempted murder charges in Cheyenne has finally had his case bound over to district court.

27-year-old Daniel Guajardo's case was delayed while a judge waited for the results of a mental evaluation. In January, he was found competent to proceed with his case, which formally transferred to Laramie County District Court on Friday.

Guajardo is accused of fatally shooting his ex-girlfriend and wounding her boyfriend after breaking into her Cheyenne home in April.

He was ordered to undergo mental evaluation in June, but wasn't admitted to the Wyoming State Hospital until October, delaying the necessary evaluations and preliminary hearings.
