UNDATED (AP) — The Los Angeles Clippers still have an outside chance to claim the second seed in the NBA's Western Conference after earning their franchise-record 57th win last night.

Blake Griffin scored 24 points and the Clippers shot 53 percent in a 117-105 win over Denver. Chris Paul shot 8-for-10 while contributing 21 points and 10 assists. J.J. Redick (RED'-ihk) hit four of his six 3-point tries to finish with 18 points, and DeAndre Jordan delivered 13 points and a game-high 16 rebounds.

The Clippers will take the No. 2 seed if they win at Portland on Wednesday while Oklahoma City loses to Detroit. However, L.A. will be without Griffin after he earned an automatic one-game suspension for his 16th technical foul of the season.

The New York Knicks prevented the Brooklyn Nets from wrapping up the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 16 points as the Knicks beat the Nets for the third time in their four-game season series, 109-98. Amare Stoudemire (ah-MAR'-ay STOW'-duh-my-ur) and J.R. Smith each added 14 points for the Knicks, who are playing their last two games without Carmelo Anthony. New York's injured scoring leader had an MRI Tuesday that revealed a torn labrum in his right shoulder.
