Grand Avenue Construction On Schedule

Officials with the Wyoming Department of Transportation say construction on Grand Avenue is right on schedule. 

Construction is expected to finish up in late August, and district engineer Pat Persson says the completion date should still hold up.

“Watching the contractor and where he is work-wise, he is on schedule,” Persson says.

Construction began on Grand Avenue in early March, causing major detours on a main Laramie road. The construction includes removing and rebuilding all the sidewalks, gutters and roads from 15^th to 21^st Streets. In addition, a pedestrian crossing will be added at 19^th Street. The road is also being brought up to American Disability Act Standards.
