Governor Mead Proclaims “Pro Bono” Week in Wyoming
Governor Matt Mead declared this week "Pro Bono Week" in Wyoming. Wyoming joins a national effort to focus attention on the increased need for pro bono services during these challenging economic times and celebrate the outstanding work of lawyers who volunteer their services throughout the year. Wyoming Supreme Court Chief Justice James Burke says pro bono work is essential.
When you think of the concept of justice, it based on public trust and confidence, and how can you have public trust and confidence if you can't get legal representation. The reality is many peple can't get legal representation. Burke said.
Justice Burke said Wyoming is lucky to have services available and lawyers stepping up to provide for people who need legal help.
