Have you wanted to help those affected by the wildfires in Colorado, but you are unsure how to help? There are two drives in Laramie this weekend to help those in need and the firefighters in the area.

On Saturday organizers of a food and clothing drive will be accepting donations from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Washington Park. Items needed include canned goods, clothing, eye drops, baby powder, towels, toiletries and granola bars. Donations go to those affected by the fire in Colorado Springs.

If you are unable to contribute to the drive on Saturday or you want to contribute more to the cause, the Laramie Colts Baseball Club will be collecting donations before their game this Sunday to help firefighters in Colorado . Needed items include lip balm, baby powder, deodorant, cotton socks (over the calf), t-shirts, towels and washcloths, handkerchiefs, jerky and energy bars. Monetary donations will also be accepted. All donations must be new and prepackaged. No handmade items will be accepted at this drive. The Laramie Colts play at Cowboy Field near 22nd and Willett Drive.

These food and clothing drives are a great opportunity to help those affected and fighting fires in Colorado.
