Fire Danger Rising In Grand Teton

GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. (AP) — Fire managers are raising the fire danger rating to very high for both the Bridger-Teton National Forest and Grand Teton National Park.

Managers say that recent hot temperatures, low humidity and windy conditions have increased the fire danger. They’re telling local residents and visitors to exercise caution.

Partial fire restrictions remain in effect on the forest and in the national park. They include limiting campfires to designated areas such as established campgrounds. There are also restrictions in effect on smoking and operating chain saws.

Visitors should check with land management offices for detailed information on fire restrictions.
