A local musician will perform at Coal Creek Coffee on Friday, August 15. Dyann Diercks, who grew up in Lusk, Wyo. and currently lives in Laramie, will play at the downtown coffee shop located at 110 E. Grand Ave. starting at 8 p.m. She says her show will likely go until about 10 p.m.

She says her music is difficult to describe in a few words, but would best be described as “country with a touch of blues.” In addition to vocals, Diercks plays the acoustic guitar and the ukulele.

Others to perform include Cheyenne artist Mike Morris and Diercks’ father Ross Diercks.

Dyann says she grew up with her father playing music, and it inspired her to start down that road herself. She adds that she and her father plan to play some songs together at Coal Creek.
