Dent and Gomez Receives Mountain West Honors

Marquelle Dent was selected to the All-Conference and All-Defensive teams in the Mountain West for a second straight year.

The University of Wyoming senior led the Cowgirls in points, assists and steals during MW play. Dent averaged 14.1 points, 5.5 assists and snagged 38 steals during conference action. She recorded double figures in scoring in 14 of the 18 league games. Dent led UW in assists 16 times and steals 12 times. She is the only player in school history with over 1,000 points, 500 assists and 175 steals in a career.

Freshman Marta Gomez from Spain was named to the All-Freshman team. She averaged 10.1 points and 5.1 rebounds per game in MW action. Gomez led the Cowgirls in three-point field goals made, attempted and percentage. She scored in double figures ten times during conference games. It's the first honor of her career.
