The Wyoming Cowboys rallied from a 15-point deficit in the first half to win their third straight game, 66-59, at Air Force Wednesday night. Larry Nance, Jr. scored 20 points, grabbed nine rebounds and blocked three shots to lead three Cowboys in double figures in the victory.

Wyoming (12-6, 3-2) trailed 30-15 with five minutes left in the first half after a 15-1 run by the Falcons. When it looked like things were headed towards a blow-out, the Pokes answered with a 13-3 run of their own and trimmed the deficit to 33-28 with 36 seconds left in the first half. UW trailed 35-28 at half.

Air Force (9-9, 3-4) built their lead back to double figures at 41-30 a couple of minutes into the second half, but the Cowboys didn't go away. They pulled within four, at 41-37, and then UW finally took its first lead of the second half on Nate Sobey's 3-pointer with 3:59 remaining. A pair of Nance free throws with 3:07 left gave the Pokes the lead for good.

A lay-up by Nance off a drive and dish by Sobey, a key drive and basket by Charles Hankerson, Jr. and four free throws closed out the 7-point win.

Josh Adams added 17 points, while Sobey chipped in 10. Wyoming shot 50 percent (20-40) from the field, 3-12 (25%) from deep and 23-25 (92%) at the foul line. They also scored 22 points off 16 Air Force turnovers.

The Falcons were led by Kamryn Williams with 17 points. Tre' Coggins had 15 and Justin Hammonds added 13. Air Force was 21-47 (44.7%) from the floor, but went only 9-23 (39.1%) in the second half. They were 9-23 (39.1%) from 3 and 8-10 (80%) at the stripe. They did out-rebound the Cowboys 26-22.

This win by Wyoming snapped a 3-game losing skid to the Falcons. They also did it without head coach Larry Shyatt, who was ill and decided not to coach the game.

The Cowboys return to the court Saturday afternoon for their second match-up against Nevada. The Wolfpack beat UW in Reno on January 4, 61-58. This game is at the Arena-Auditorium in Laramie. Game time is set for 2 p.m.
