Five Cowboys scored in double figures, and Wyoming rolled past Bristol Bears 101-to-62 in their season opener Friday night.

Alexander Aka Gorski finished with a career-high 18 points. Jason McManamen and Morris Marshall added 14 apiece. Trey Washington III also scored a career-high with 13 points. Justin James made a successful debut with 11 points and 8 rebounds. In fact, all 11 Cowboys who played, scored in the game.

Wyoming (1-0) used a 24-4 run in the first half that broke open a five point game. Eight different Pokes scored in the surge that took the UW lead to 38-13 with 5:45 left in the first half. It was 51-24 at the break. The lead ballooned to 43 in the second half.

The Cowboys shot 55.4 percent from the field, including 43 percent from deep. UW dished out 20 assists on 31 made field goals. They knocked down 12 3-pointers.

Bristol (0-4) was led by DeVontae Bryant with 17 points. The Bears were held to 34 percent from the floor. They shot only 25 percent in the first half.

Wyoming returns to action Monday in the Mountain West-Missouri Valley challenge. The Cowboys play at Indiana State. The game will start at 5 p.m., Mountain Time.
