The University of Wyoming had 58 student-athletes receive Mountain West Academic All-Conference honors Monday for the 2014 spring semester.

The women's swimming and diving squad led the way with 16 honorees. Also in double figures were women's track and field with 13 and men's track and field with ten. Rounding out the honors were women's basketball and men's golf with five apiece, women's golf and women's tennis with four each and men's basketball had one.

Four UW student-athletes had a 4.0 grade point average. They were tennis player Veronica Popovici and track and field athletes Katy Hall, Natalie Hurst and Danielle Alexander.

The average GPA among the UW honorees was 3.56. Fifteen seniors, 15 freshman, 14 juniors, 10 sophomores and four graduate students make up the 58 Cowboys and Cowgirls on the list.
