The Laramie Colts are ready to take their talents down to Denver for a doubleheader Wednesday afternoon against the Golden Grizz and the Denver Sox.

The Colts will be playing the Grizz first at 1 p.m. and then will drive down the highway 20 minutes to play the Sox at 5:30.

Laramie has already beaten the Grizz twice this season in the only two match-ups the two teams have had. Colts manager James Clark said he thinks his team will match-up well with the Grizz and that he believes his team can play a good game against them.

“We swept them at their place in the first doubleheader. I don’t necessarily think that means take them lightly, they are still a pretty good team,” Clark said.

After the game against the Grizz, Laramie will drive down a little further south to the Denver Sox. The Sox are the second place team in the Rocky Mountain Baseball league and Clark has already recognized the challenge his team will face when playing them.

“When we come out we are going to have to have consistent approaches,” Clark said.

Laramie will also have new pitchers on the mound tomorrow. The Colts are starting two pitchers who haven’t yet started a game this summer.

“Both guys we got going tomorrow have not started for us this year. It’ll be interesting to see how they react and how they pitch,” Clark said.
